The CFL Blog seeks to foster critical dialogue on emerging and contemporary issues in Family Law. In furtherance of this objective, we welcome original, analytical, and interdisciplinary submissions from students, academicians, and practitioners.
MODEL OF PUBLICATION
Invited Submissions – The CFL Blog may invite contributions from legal practitioners, academicians, and students on topical issues in Family Law.
Rolling Submissions – We also accept submissions on a rolling basis, in accordance with the guidelines below.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The article should engage with current and topical issues in Family Law. Submissions may:

Focus solely on Family Law, or
-
Adopt an interdisciplinary approach that links Family Law with other areas of law or the social sciences.
Purely descriptive pieces will not be considered for publication.

Submissions should be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) and emailed to famlawcentre@nlujodhpur.ac.in with the subject line:
“Submission CFL Blog | Title of the Submission”. -
Co-authorship of up to two (2) authors is permitted.

The body of the email should include a two-line bio of the author(s) and their institutional affiliation (if applicable).
STYLE GUIDELINES

Word Limit: Submissions should be between 1,000 – 1,500 words. Flexibility may be exercised at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

Referencing:
-
All references must be hyperlinked within the text itself.
-
Where an online source is not available, endnotes may be used.
-
Endnotes must follow the Bluebook citation method.
-
No speaking endnotes are allowed.

Formatting:

Font: Garamond
-
Font Size: 12 (main text), 10 (endnotes)

Line Spacing: 1.5 (main text), 1.0 (endnotes)

Alignment: Justified
-
Use double quotes and italics when quoting verbatim.

Language: Submissions must be written in English.

Authors are encouraged to maintain anonymity in the submitted document.
AUTHOR AGREEMENT
-
Submissions must be the original and unpublished work of the author(s).
-
Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of facts, authorities, and opinions expressed in their submissions.

Similarity beyond 15% will lead to immediate rejection.
-
If the article is simultaneously submitted elsewhere, authors must inform the Editorial Board in the covering email.
REVIEW PROCESS

The Editorial Board will acknowledge receipt of submissions within 48 hours.

Each article will be reviewed by one or more Editors, who reserve the discretion to accept, reject, or request revisions.
CROSS-PUBLICATION
Posts published on the CFL Blog may be cross-published on other platforms, provided that due credit is given to the CFL Blog and the wording states that the article was “first published on the CFL Blog, National Law University, Jodhpur”.
